Kati Pasanen PT, MSc, PhD is a Research and Development Manager at the Research Center of Sports Medicine, UKK Institute, Tampere, Finland. Her PhD in Injury prevention is from the Medical School, University of Tampere. The focus of Dr. Pasanen’s research is the identification of sports injury risk factors and evaluation of sports injury prevention strategies. Her main research area is related to team ball sport injuries, especially knee- and ankle injuries. She is a member the Finnish Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, and she had served as a coach for many ice hockey and floorball teams over twenty years. She has playing experience at top national level in ice hockey, rink ball and floorball.
